About: Anna Wang, author of Inconvenient Memories: A Personal Account of the Tiananmen Square Incident and the China Before and After. Anna Wang was born in China in 1966 just after the 'cultural revolution.' While still an infant, her parents' jobs required them to leave her to grow up with her grandmother, a woman whose feet had been crippled in the brutal Chinese tradition of foot binding.
