The Inland Empire Chapter of APICS, the leading association for supply chain and operations professionals; and Arbela Technologies, a trusted and proven name in ERP and Supply Chain implementations for mid-size manufacturing companies, are igniting manufacturers and distributors with the 3rd Annual Executive Panel & Networking Symposium: Filling the Skills Gap: Putting the "Spark" Back in Manufacturing & Distribution on Saturday, May 3rd.

With manufacturing making a strong comeback, there is an even greater need to attract new talent, develop employees, and drive supply chain and operational improvements. Through breakfast networking and panel discussions by Noel Massie, President of UPS Southern California, Roy Paulson, President of Paulson Manufacturing, Alan Dunn, Founder of the Manufacturing Executive Institute, Dwane Lamb, Director of Operations with PSG Grand Terrace (Wilden Pump); attendees will walk away with new ideas and a renewed energy for manufacturing and distribution.

"Arbela Technologies is proud to sponsor the APICS Inland Empire Symposium for the second consecutive time," said Nima Bakhtiary, President and CEO at Arbela Technologies. "We have experienced that good talent and promoting best practices within the manufacturing arena are key success factors in sustaining a strong US manufacturing sector. We are thrilled that we can be included in such a promising movement."

"The Symposium brings together manufacturing and distribution students and professionals to exchange ideas and hear from business leaders on how they are navigating the current business environment and increasing complexities required to succeed," explained Lisa Anderson, President of APICS-IE and LMA Consulting Group. "We specifically wanted to kindle ideas on retaining and attracting talent to look at manufacturing as a career choice and how to put the spark back in manufacturing and distribution."

The 3rd  Annual Executive Panel & Networking Symposium will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 at the Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, California. Fees to attend the event from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM are $15 for members, $25 for non-members, and students are free. A breakfast buffet will be included to all registered attendees. Any manufacturers, distributors, supply chain and operations students, professionals, and trusted advisors are welcomed.  You can register for this year's event by clicking here.
