ANB Communications has just released cards, posters of artist-astrologer Anne Nordhaus-Bike’s Moon and Sun watercolor painting.

In astrology, the two most important heavenly bodies are the Sun and the Moon. This summer, planetary alignments are giving us the biggest emphasis on the relationship between these two "celestial lights" and the signs they rule—Cancer and Leo—since 1931. As part of this important cosmic shift, ANB Communications has just released the watercolor painting Moon and Sun to the public by making it available as cards and posters.

Moon and Sun was painted by noted Chicago artist and astrologer Anne Nordhaus-Bike. "Every year, the Sun moves from the water sign of Cancer to the fire sign of Leo around July 22," Nordhaus-Bike explained. "Once every 12 years, the biggest planet in our solar system, Jupiter, makes the same move from Cancer to Leo. This event always brings a huge emphasis on these signs and on the Moon and Sun because Jupiter expands whatever it touches.

"This year is special, though: Jupiter has been in Cancer all the past year and just moved into Leo on July 16. That's just eight days before the Sun makes the same change of signs. The last time Jupiter and the Sun both moved into Leo so close on each other's heels was 1931, when Jupiter entered Leo on July 17 and the Sun did the same on July 23, just six days apart. So we have the best opportunity we've had in 83 years to experience the combination of solar and lunar cycles and energies and really feel what this means for us, both personally and in the world at large."

Nordhaus-Bike's Moon and Sun watercolor honors this shift as well as Cancer's and Leo's great importance for astrology and spirituality. "It depicts the essence of astrology in a single, simple symbol," she said. "The image and the way it was painted combine to sum up key astrological and spiritual concepts and offer a living symbol of our true purpose. In addition, Moon and Sun presents mystical and alchemical truths through color, design, and symbolism. So it is filled with a depth of meaning that can inspire us all—and enhance meditation for anyone on the spiritual path."

Moon and Sun available as cards and posters

Moon and Sun is available for purchase as both cards and posters:
