Here's positive neighborhood stories… what's happening in Korea Town and South Los Angeles this weekend!

 

 

Three events ongoing across the southland this weekend and summer:

 

  1. Win Within Sangha a transformational and community learning center- check the website or facebook out!

2) There is a Peace Rally Event in Watts… the 12th annual event called "Moving Forward- Don't look Back Peace Rally"  Rain or shine the Mayor will be there and the event will go forward.

 

Saturday, June 27th at the Florence Joyner Elementary Shoo, 1963 E 103rd Street, corner of 103rd and Wilmington, the rally will be held from 8am-4pm.

 

3)  Mrs Roosevelt: a one act reading of the future screenplay by Mootney Theater's Venice raconteur and historical story teller. Reading by Bo Lebo.   Play by Glenn Hopkins, abridged version of his multilingual screenplay, about Eleanor Roosevelt, "First Lady of the World". Show will commence at the First Unitarian Church at 8th St and Westmoreland at 1:15pm Sunday, June 28, tickets $5.00 at the door of $2.50 for all groups of 10 or more.

 

With music, art, gardens, performances, markets, and marches…LA's a place when we're in this together, check on the partking, wear comfortable clothes and be ready to pitch in or watch. And don't forget the Bowl or the Levitt Pavilions.

 

Get out of the house and catch these events/performances and more.  Eat out, hear free or affordable entertainment, join in in community service, raft along the LA River….what a life.
