FreePrintableFlags.com is providing educational visual aids and promoting cross-cultural celebration with its 80 new printable flags for a variety of countries.
"It's important to learn about other nations, and a lot can be picked up just by looking at their flags," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "It's good for learning about culture and geography."
The flags are categorized by continent, and many of the new additions are African flags for regions such as Egypt, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Sudan and the Republic of Congo.
The new Asia flags cover Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh and other countries in the southeast. However, it also includes countries from the Middle East, including Turkey, Iraq, Israel, Palestine and Yemen.
There are currently 196 countries in the world, and FreePrintableFlags.com has printable flags for 131 of them. Each one is beautifully illustrated in full color. All files are free to download and print as a PDF.
"You can use these flags as decorations," said Savetz, "but they can also be used for geography reports and lessons."
