Great news for teachers, students and homeschooling parents: there are 50 new printable worksheets available for free at InstantWorksheets.net. The new additions cover geographical facts, systems of U.S. Government, scientists, inventors and famous African-American figures.
"Many of these worksheets are two-part lessons," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "They have students practicing one skill, such as alphabetizing, while learning about larger issues like history."
Many of the social studies worksheets do just that. Students are asked to arrange words relating to presidents, government branches, and historical figures in alphabetical order. They thereby practice their language skills and learn important information pertaining to American history.
Other worksheets incorporate the use of maps and globes, such as the geography worksheets that cover South America, North America, Greece and Germany. Each one instructs students to study a map and answer questions about bordering countries, adjacent oceans, major cities and capitals.
All of the printable worksheets at InstantWorksheets.net are free to use. However, subscribers who pay $4 a month receive access to members-only content, including navigation of the site without advertisements and unlimited use of the Custom Math Worksheet Generator. The generator produces random or patterned problems covering addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Students can choose to fill in the sign or simplify fractions as well.
