FreePrintable.net continues to expand its printables to open-source users with 26 new OpenOffice printables at OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOffice templates at LibreOfficeTemplates.net. The new additions mainly focus on medical information, organization, and family trees.
"Some of my most popular designs rely on careful formatting, tables, and drawing structures," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "These sometimes don't convert correctly in open source word processors, so I make sure that there are other copies made specifically for ODT files."
Many of the new additions are medical forms intended to help patients keep track of important health information. There are medication logs, medical history summaries, and even a wallet-sized medication card for emergency situations. For additional organization, there are also checklists, to-do lists, and a two-day planner.
For those interested in ancestry, there are now family trees with various types of information. Some focus on aesthetics, such as the beautiful template with a blossoming, purple tree in the background. Others contain more information, such as the ancestor chart with vital statistics, and the blended family tree with step- and half-siblings.
There are now 92 templates available at LibreOfficeTemplates.net and OpenOfficeTemplates.com, respectively. Each file is free to download as an editable ODT file that works in any open source software. Popular categories include family trees, invoices, and resumes.
There are more than 90 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
