Prior to becoming an attorney, Cynthia spent 12 years as a registered nurse, specializing in cardiology, which experience now provides her with a unique understanding of a client's case. She has worked in every part of trial preparation and acted as "first chair" for a number of medical malpractice trials. Her work as part of the trial team for a lawsuit against Big Pharma's Merck & Co. Inc. for a Vioxx case helped result in a $51 million verdict. She was also involved in an orthopedic injury case that had the highest settlement amount in history.

As a mother of two, she can relate to her clients whose children and families have experienced immeasurable loss. Some of her clients are seeking justice for harm perpetrated by defective medical devices. Others are families whose children were born with birth defects due to antidepressants, a life forever changed that has left family members devastated.
