FaxZero Lists Most-Faxed Destinations

 FaxZero.com, which this year surpassed 6.6 million free faxes sent, has released its list of the most frequently faxed companies of 2012.

The most-faxed company in 2012 was AT&T, with 10,745 faxes received via FaxZero.com. Coming in second was Apple, with 9,170 faxes received, followed by Twitter support (8,615 faxes), Ebay (7,848) and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (3,808). Other most frequently faxed companies rounding out the list are, in order: CyberThink, USAA Federal Savings Bank, Higher One, Chase Home Loans, Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, Aetna Health Care, Yahoo!, Assurance Wireless, FSAFEDS Federal Flexible Spending Account, and Wells Fargo.

Site founder Kevin Savetz is listing the service's top destinations for the first time since he launched FaxZero in 2006. "I think it's wonderful that so many people have used FaxZero to get things done with these companies," said Savetz, who is able to track major destination numbers without breaching the privacy of either the fax sender or recipient.

"Several of the companies that made the most-faxed list are government offices. I assume that they are tell their clients to send information via fax, and they suggest FaxZero as the best means to do so." Savetz said. "That's very gratifying to me, and speaks to the reputation and reliability of FaxZero.com."

FaxZero.com allows users to send five faxes page per day of up to three pages each to any location in the U.S. or Canada for free. The site also offers a premium faxing service for $1.99, which has no daily limit and allows up to 15 pages per fax.

For those businesses and individuals who need to send an international fax, that service is offered at a low cost starting at less than $4, depending on the nation faxed. Nearly 180 countries can be reached via the service. FaxZero.com also has a free service for easily faxing one's representative in Congress or fax the Senate.

Via FaxZero, fax senders can upload a wide range of file types, from DOC and PDF to XLS and PNG – even multiple file types in the same fax message. There is also a text box for creating a cover page directly on the Web site. Faxes are usually sent in two minutes or so.

"Nearly two million faxes were delivered by FaxZero.com in 2012," Savetz reported. "The popularity of Internet-based faxing for both home and business needs continues to grow."

FaxZero has been featured in publications such as U.S. News, Reuters and PC World. Savetz, an expert on internet faxing since the early 1990s, also runs FaxPrices.com, an impartial guide that helps readers compare fax providers.
