Community Friday:  Weaving Our Tapestry Together for Positive Change…

Valeri Bocage

Valeri Bocage
CEO Powerful Women International Connections

Imagine being a part of a global movement bigger than you know yourself to be.
Today’s Circumstances

Imagine a community of people who were in poverty, ill, no decent schools playgrounds and no clean water.   Imagine prisons filled with young men, women, boys and girls,  Imagine a community barely surviving with hundreds of people not knowing what to do,

Pausing to think about this makes you sad, doesn’t?  It should.

Imagine Every Child Excited to Read

Imagine:

  1. Reading about a particular community you knew to once have been in poverty, is now thriving.
  2. On your way to a meeting, you turn on the radio.  The news is proudly announcing the steady climb of the rate of good health in developing countries ~ all due to the fact they now have clean water!
  3. You recall a conversation with a friend who is talking about how the prisons are closing because they don’t have enough people to keep the jails opens.  But a smile overtakes you, because you know that YOU were a part of a group of people that collaborated to change recidivism.   YOU helped to do that!
  4. As you to drive to your meeting, you pass by the local park to see children playing safely with police officers close by.   This touches your heart. YOU were involved in the work that was being done to keep the children safe.
  5. You recognize that while you are concentrating on just one area of a project, you are able to also provide input, skills and talent on another.
  6. You know that together we weaved our tapestry of talents, ideas and skills to people who had or started projects and TOGETHER we made a global change in humanity!

YOU were a part of it, and you changed the lives of hundreds of people by the person you are, with you innate gifts and talents.   You are about making positive changes so that lives changed for the betterment of ALL people.   AND YOU DID! YOU DID THAT!
