Do you know what a “battleground state” is in a US election? It’s a state that could go to either candidate based on their platforms and appeal to the majority of the voters.
In other words,
every state ought to be a “battleground state.”
The same applies to every Congressional and Senate seat. We have senators here who are in power longer than most of the old European monarchies. Do you think people with that kind of sinecure will ever vote to limit their own terms? The European monarchies were cast aside by democracies. We seem to be going in the opposite direction.
