Attract the Right Job Or Clientele:

Do You Realize that Opposites Attract Works for Business?

Most of us have heard the expression ‘opposites attract,’ but today’s question is, will the same work for business? Although the question may sound odd, being different will help your brand stand out from the crowded playing field. Being the ‘odd person out’ offers much merit and potential for business. The unique factors can drive more sales, attract new clientele, and contribute to building a robust audience.

My Story

We each have unique ideas, but only some understand their entire meaning. Accordingly, it can take time, even years, to find people who understand our perspective or are willing to learn. The possibility resides within those who want to learn more and do so by becoming excellent collaborative partners.

No one knows everything, and often we mistakenly omit a strategy that would otherwise significantly extend our reach. The bonus in working with opposites as collaborators is that we can create a more robust branding and marketing program and collectively build a more expansive audience. We can then expand on our ideas with the insights of the others in our collaborative circle.

Larger businesses have the advantage of hiring teams to work on their behalf. But not all reap the full benefit as management often takes the advice of those they view as star players while omitting input from the rest. Accordingly, they miss out on the vast experience of all others combined.

As a solo entrepreneur, being the opposite of most will typically give us alone time to focus on our desires, set goals, and then put the wheels in motion to make our desires happen. No matter our personality type, embracing our ideals, realizing our passion, and then setting goals to pursue with everything we’ve got is always necessary. More importantly, setbacks are typical, and it is required to embrace those, too. When we do, the seeming failures become our self-guided training to do better and pass the hurdle we currently face.

Courage and perseverance are the qualifiers for moving past negativity and mishaps to a better place in time. Experience shows that the effort is far more challenging for those who have yet to become household names. Throughout the journey, entrepreneurs can connect with similar-minded others via the collaborative effort to enhance their efforts by working together to realize robust results and opportunities beyond one’s imagination.

Those who dare to move on from the past are the ones who learn substantially more in many regards about business, life, and possibilities previously thought to be impossible. The knowledge we gain keeps us current in all respects. It also keeps us on our toes upon hearing suggestions of help that provide outdated services, which frequently occurs.

Your Story: Do You Realize that Opposites Attract Works for Business?

‘An open mind opens many more doors.’

Although the title may sound strange, it is best to pause to consider it. Otherwise, you may lose the opportunity to build your desired business. The next step is to listen to ideas you view as unusual to determine whether they may be worth testing. With the help of the person making the unusual suggestion, the results may surprise you to benefit all those working on the project.

During your quiet time, think back to the ideas you quickly dismissed as ridiculous. Were those ever put into action? It’s likely some were and are doing well. Promise yourself that in the future, you will take the time to consider the unusual from all angles before dismissing it. On occasion, for anything that sounds intriguing yet doubtful, take a calculated risk to see how it may turn out. You may surprise yourself with how well the future materializes!

In Conclusion: Do You Realize that Opposites Attract Works for Business?

Upon achieving the higher goals we set for ourselves and our business, the next step is to revisit the goals and ambition to choose the best collaborative offers coming our way selectively. By working with those with different personality types and unusual ideas, we can provide clientele with a full service and product offering for a more fruitful outcome proving that ‘opposites attract’ works for business!
