The simple-yet-handy website BanksOpenToday.com has been updated to reflect when banks are open each day in 2017.
"A quick look at BanksOpenToday.com instantly answers the yes-or-no questions of whether banks are open today and if they will be open tomorrow," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "This is important, time-saving information when you need to deposit a check, send a wire transfer or do some other important banking business. BanksOpenToday.com will let you know instantly if banks are closed due to U.S. federal holidays."
BanksOpenToday.com relies on the official schedule of Federal Reserve Bank holidays and takes into account when the holiday falling on a weekend affects the federal holiday date. It's possible that in-store banks and some branches are open on weekends, but if the site says that banks are not open, the day is a federal banking holiday and banks are closed for sure.
The site also has a free printable version of the list of 2017 banking holidays.
BanksOpenToday.com is a sister site to PostOfficeOpen.com, which since 2010 has let users know if the U.S. post office is open on that day as well as the following day.
These sites are part of Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses. There are nearly 100 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites. FaxZero.com lets users send free internet faxes.
