Attract the Right Job Or Clientele:
Will You Revise Past Errors to Achieve Success?
When we are willing to admit revising past errors to achieve Success, we are far more likely to do so. And when issues appear to be larger than life itself, one strategy can enable correcting the course of action: collaboration. We can collectively enhance more change than we believe possible upfront.
We frequently hear about the value of meditation, yoga, and being in nature. It frees our minds and allows creative thought to flow. Often the better ideas come to us in these moments as silence; sometimes, it can be our best friend. The quiet allows for reflection to revise past errors to achieve success.
My Story:
Mantras taught to me:
• ‘If you do not defend yourself, no one else will.’
• ‘Never give up but seek to find a better way.’
• ‘Believe in yourself even when no one else does.’
Through the years, those sayings remained with me and helped to fight off much negativity. And it is the music that continues to provide insight into past errors and how we may strive to achieve success. Song lyrics of yesterday seem to capture today’s news and history long gone. It’s no wonder the saying is, ‘history repeats itself.’
Level 1: Shall I Give Up?
The Eve of Destruction was written by 19-year-old P.F. Sloan and made famous by Bob Dylan. When you read the lyrics, it’s hard to believe a 19-year-old knew enough to write it; it’s more astonishing that we have returned to the same scenario many years later.
According to Google, the song takes on racism, hypocrisy, and injustice at a volatile time in American history. The assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy in 1963 greatly influenced the lyrics.
“The Eastern world, it is explodin’
Violence flarin’, bullets loadin’
…
Don’t you understand what I’m trying to say
Can’t you feel the fears I’m feeling today?”
Another repetitive theme is that of celebrating women’s rights, gay rights, and that black lives matter. It now appears that it’s all in jeopardy in the U.S. unless the majority is to take action at the polls.
One motivating piece of history is a documentary stating that George Washington was going blind when he was to lead his men into battle. His motivating speech encouraged everyone to continue rather than throwing up their hands and thinking, ‘it’s of no use to fight.’ They instead moved forward together to win.
Level 2: Shall I Sail Away and Begin Anew?
The next level for individuals to realize their goals, ambitions, and dreams is to find a collaborative partner with similar values and goals. Hence the joint lyrics written and sung by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers:
“Islands In The Stream
That is what we are
No one in between
How can we be wrong?
Sail away with me
To another world
And we rely on each other, ah ha”
The song can lead one to dream of a better land where the chances for achieving our Success look brighter as we sail away. The idea of escape is one where creativity can take hold for the thought to blossom and sail toward a new horizon.
While the lyrics give hope and may lead to a new vision, the downside suggests leaving others behind to struggle with an ongoing and unjust situation.
Level 3: Embrace Collaboration – The Time Is Right Now!
On the other side of the argument is the title of a song the Beatles wrote, ‘Come Together Right Now.’ Admittedly, I can’t make heads or tails out of the lyrics, but the title is significant. Moreover, it speaks to business and how we may deal with the news.
Statistics show that most of the population in the U.S. is highly upset by recent rulings. The only way we may conceivably overturn the issues is if we are to ‘come together right now’ to collaboratively create a plan of action and vote as we see the solution on election day.
Your Story: Will You Revise Past Errors to Achieve Success?
Occasionally, unforeseen circumstances in business seem to turn our world upside down. Companies are struggling to figure out how to hire and accommodate those who want to work remotely, plus enhance the in-office environment for a friendlier atmosphere. Moreover, diversity, equity, and inclusion are front and center topics that the executives need to grasp and implement a fair policy for all. On this topic, it is time to revise past errors to achieve success. An inclusive and harmonious workplace is essential, with advancement opportunities available to those working toward that goal.
Entrepreneurs have one advantage in working from wherever they like, but it’s a difficult journey to work alone continually. By reviewing past errors and embracing new thoughts, it becomes easier to achieve success. Although you may sail away, the ability to connect with people globally and establish international partnerships provides previously unimagined opportunities.
When businesses of all types and sizes begin to think about collective benefits and collaborative models, that’s when the past can remain in the past for us to achieve success beyond what we previously thought possible.
In Conclusion: Revise Past Errors to Achieve Success
Although you may also have difficulty comprehending the lyrics, ‘Come together right now,’ doing so with those with similar values and priorities will enable you to expand your business and achieve more than you previously thought possible. It will be time to update your vision board!
