Small business owners or aspiring entrepreneurs can get their ideas on paper or pursue funding with the help of free
business plan templates available for free on a new website, BusinessPlanTemplate.net.
"Writing a business plan is not always an easy proposition. This site offers a jump start," said Kevin Savetz, creator of the site that is the newest addition to the FreePrintable.net family of sites that offer free and low-cost printables for home and business.
A good business plan can be the key to a new business getting off the ground more smoothly, and it can also help an existing business re-frame its goals or secure investors or loans.
The site includes several articles with tips on how to write a business plan. The templates themselves range from the popular
one page business plan to elaborate, multi-page plans with fill-in-the-blanks style writing prompts relating to specific industries ranging from day care businesses to coffee shops.
"These business plan templates help organize your thoughts and present them in a professional, well-organized way," Savetz said. "These business plans are expertly formatted the way investors and SBA lending officers like them."
BusinessPlanTemplate.net also includes several free forms that are commonly submitted with business plans, such as a balance sheet, startup capital calculator, break even analysis and projected income statement.
To use the free business plan templates, simply download the plan that best suits your needs, open it in Microsoft Word or another DOC-compatible program such as Google Docs, and type over and along with the existing text to customize it. The forms are in both DOC and XLS format.
There are more than 70 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of
free printables sites created by
