FaxZero

FaxZero.com, which offers free fax services over the Internet, is celebrating its third anniversary.

In the time since FaxZero was first launched in May 2006, users have sent more than 1.4 million faxes using the service.

With FaxZero, users can send faxes from their computers to any fax machine in the United States or Canada.

While it's free to send up to two faxes per day, of up to three pages each, for free, FaxZero also offers a premium fax service for $1.99, allowing more pages and priority delivery.

FaxZero is owned by Kevin Savetz, who since 1994 has offered a free guide to Internet faxing, How Can I Send a Fax from the Internet? as well as FaxPrices.com, an unbiased tool to help home computer users and businesses choose a service via an Internet fax price comparison based on their particular volume, per-page cost and other needs. Savetz Publishing, Inc. also offers hundreds of free fax cover sheets for instant download at FreeFaxCoverSheets.net.

"I was an early advocate of Internet-based faxing, both for convenience and paper savings," Savetz said. "It's so gratifying to see how FaxZero and my related services have grown over the years"

Earlier this year, using FaxZero became even easier for iGoogle and MacOS Dashboard users thanks to a free, easy-to-install Dashboard widget and Google gadget. The widget/gadget lets Internet users view key FaxZero information and fill in the blanks to send free faxes from their computer instantly.

The MacOS dashboard widget is available at http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/business/sendafax.html and the Google gadget is available at http://www.google.com/ig/directory?hl=en&type=gadgets&url=faxzero.com/widgets/sendafax.xml

"The addition of the widget is just the latest example of how I aim to keep FaxZero convenient and easy for both home and business fax users," Savetz said.

Using FaxZero, it's easy to fax any Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, or text document. No subscription is required, and since the faxes are delivered over the Internet, the sender does not need a fax machine or fax modem. Senders receive an e-mail to confirm delivery.

Savetz Publishing, Inc. owns FaxZero and FreeDownloadADay.com, a guide to free software; as well as the Free Printable.net family of sites.
