FaxZero Site Revamped

A fresh, new look has hit the website for the Internet-based fax service FaxZero. The redesigned FaxZero.com has not only an improved look, but is also more user-friendly, with the addition of a new text submission box.

FaxZero has offered free faxing to the U.S. and Canada since 2006, and in March 2010 expanded to offer a low-cost international fax service, with 160 destination countries. Many of the countries can be reached via fax for just $3.63 for up to 15 pages.

"During the past four years, more than 2.9 million faxes have been sent via FaxZero, and I thought now is a good time to revamp the site and make it even more convenient and easy to use," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator and an expert on fax services. "The modern design makes it easier to read about the details of the services and fill out the required fields, and the submission buttons stand out better."

The redesign also added improved functionality thanks to a formatting-friendly text box into which users can simply cut and paste the content of their message. Then, just enter the confirmation code provided to send the fax on its way.

"You can paste in text that has been formatted in another application, or just type directly into the text box and set font size, center text, and add bold, underline, italics and so on," Savetz said. "The faxes come through looking sharp and professional."

Alternatively, users can upload a PDF, DOC, or DOCX file of their choice.

While the cost of the international service varies by nation faxed, the original FaxZero service offers two free faxes of up to three pages each per day in the U.S. and Canada. Another option is the $1.99 premium fax, through which users can avoid the daily limit and get priority delivery. Payment can be made by PayPal or credit card.

Savetz also owns FaxPrices.com, an unbiased guide to Internet-based fax services. FaxPrices.com's handy fax compare tool to match fax users with a plan and provider based on their home or office needs, such as how often they send and receive faxes, and if they want other services such as voicemail.

For more than 15 years, Savetz has been a strong proponent of Internet-based faxing, which is convenient and saves paper. He also maintains an Internet faxing guide he started in 1994.
