 MicroTech Secures FAA SAVES Contract

Vienna, VA – November 7, 2012—Leading service provider and technology integrator, MicroTech, has secured a contract with the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) "Strategic Sourcing for the Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies" (SAVES) program. This three year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is for Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software and has an estimated value of $40 million.

To control costs, the FAA initiated its SAVES program as a way to standardize technology, consolidate buying, and monitor IT spending. Through this contract vehicle, MicroTech provides COTS software products, software maintenance, and technical support services at all FAA locations throughout the United States. MicroTech was first awarded the FAA SAVES contract in 2009.

"FAA SAVES is one of MicroTech's most important contract vehicles," said Tony Jimenez, President & CEO of MicroTech. "Our persistent efforts to keep costs low while delivering best in brand software solutions, makes choosing MicroTech for IDIQ COTS a fairly easy decision. When it comes to expert solutions and reliability, MicroTech consistently delivers," he said.

MicroTech provides Technology Services, Network Systems Integration, Product Solutions, Cloud Computing, Unified Communications & Collaboration, Cyber Security, Mobility, and Social Media Solutions as well as leadership/management skills courses, business simulations and vital industry certifications as part of MicroTech University to commercial enterprises, along with the public sector — managing more than half-a-million technology users daily. A prime contractor of over 100 Federal projects and more-than-25 procurement vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 2500 vendors and a million technology products and services across the government.

Digital Software Magazine recently recognized MicroTech as the No. 1 Privately-Owned Systems Integration Services Provider in Virginia on their Software 500 listing of the world's largest software and service suppliers.
