Lifesaving Resources announces its 2009 schedule of Ice Rescue and Water Rescue training programs for the Public Safety and Rescue Sector, as well as the Lifeguard and Aquatic Recreation Sectors.

Two Train-the-Trainer Academies will be conducted for representatives of First Responders Agencies from throughout the U.S. and Canada. The purpose of the Academies is to train representatives of Public Safety and Rescue Agencies as Instructors and to provide them with the tools, knowledge, and skills to conduct Ice Rescue or Water Rescue Awareness, Operations, and/or Technician level courses for members of their own departments/agencies. The Academies are physically-intensive training programs and are conducted from Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon. The Academies are as follows:

Ice Rescue Train-the-Trainer Academy

During 2008, Instructors were trained by Lifesaving Resources from First Responder Agencies in North Dakota, Texas, Minnesota, Missouri, Massachusetts, Indiana, Illinois, Virginia, Maryland, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Lifesaving Resources is dedicated to drowning and aquatic injury prevention and emergency management. Its 500+ page award-winning website at www.lifesaving.com currently attracts more than 4,000 visitors daily from throughout the world.

The curriculums were developed by Gerald Dworkin, a professional Aquatics Safety and Water Rescue Consultant for Lifesaving Resources. Dworkin regularly presents at state and/or national conferences throughout the U.S. and has appeared on ABC's Good Morning America; NBC's Today Show; CBS' Early Show; MSNBC News; CNN; The Discovery Channel; The History Channel; and New Hampshire Chronicle. Dworkin also consults as a Forensics Expert in drowning and aquatic injury litigation throughout the U.S.
