Radio Frequencies for UAS

Applied Technology Institute (ATI) Announces a New Class on Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS)

Worldwide government, commercial and military use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) is anticipated to increase significantly in the future, placing extraordinary demands on scare radio frequency resources. A 2009 market study by the Teal Group estimates that UAS spending will increase from the current worldwide UAS expenditures of $4.4 billion annually to $8.7 billion within the next decade.

Wouldn't YOU like to learn more about this growing field???

ATI instructor, Mr. Mark N. Lewellen, recently added UAS expertise to his twenty five years of experience with a wide variety of satellite, space and aviation related projects. He is the Vice Chairman of a UAS group , here in the US, that is responsible for generating the technical basis for UAS spectrum requirements. Mr. Lewellen is also chairman of an international group preparing for a World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-2011) that will propose revising the international Radio Regulations governing the use of the radio-frequency spectrum.

This is your chance to gain first-hand knowledge of UAS capabilities and concerns.

From this course, you will gain practical knowledge to understand the different classes and types of UAS, how to optimize their specific applications, how to evaluate and compare UAS capabilities, interact meaningfully with colleagues and master the UAS terminology.

Date and location for the new ATI class on UAS is November 10th, 2009 in Beltsville, MD.

ATI has been the leader in scientific and technical training since 1984.
