WritingTemplates.net has a new category of 50 writing templates: one for every state in the United States of America. Useful for more than just practicing writing, these forms also assist students in researching American geography and history.
"At some point in elementary school, most students will do a project on one or more of the states," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "This helps kids organize and process that information with categories and pictures."
The new state writing templates devote themselves to every state in the continental U.S., as well as Alaska and Hawaii. Each one features a colorful picture of the state flag and a line art drawing of the state. Students can add the placement of the capital and major cities, as well as the population, major figures, and the state flower, bird, and motto. The template cuts down on prep time for teachers and keeps things organized for students.
There are 170 handwriting templates at WritingTemplates.net. Many are overlaid on line art illustrations of animals, nature scenes, food, letters, and sports. All of the writing templates are free to print as a PDF. The whole writing template collection is available for $20.
"The collection is great for classroom activities, waiting room, and quiet home time," Savetz said. "It's helps young children focus on improving handwriting, even while they get to do art."
There are more than 90 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
