"Following today's meeting at the White House with President Trump and Congressional Democratic leaders, we are encouraged by the spirit of bipartisanship and commitment to addressing infrastructure investment needs in the United States. Now is the time for action. Investing in America's public transportation infrastructure benefits people in large and small communities across this country. We stand ready to support Congress and the Administration on infrastructure legislation."

The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) is a nonprofit international association of 1,500 public and private sector organizations which represent a $71 billion industry that directly employs 430,000 people and supports millions of private sector jobs. APTA members are engaged in the areas of bus, paratransit, light rail, commuter rail, subways, waterborne services, and intercity and high-speed passenger rail.
