The American Consumer Council (ACC) has completed its expansion of regional offices ahead of schedule now operating 18 offices across the nation to serve its membership. Recently, ACC established physical offices in Mystic, CT; Springfield, MA; Uniondale, NY; and, relocated its Minnesota office to downtown St. Paul, MN.
The American Consumer Council is a non-profit consumer education organization with over 144,000 members and 44 state consumer councils. ACC is dedicated to consumer advocacy, financial education and recognizing companies that practice corporate social responsibility and support consumers.
The general business activities conducted by ACC staff at its regional offices include:
• Membership recruitment and enrollment for the respective service region.
• Processing of new members located in their service region.
• Organizing consumer education programs including financial education workshops.
• Encouraging the participation of Regular Members (Voting Members) in ACC committees and activities.
• Responding to consumer complaints regarding products purchased and inferior service or quality.
• Consumer Advocacy and Media Relations.
