For fourteen years at Twisted Limb Paperworks, the boutique eco-friendly paper-making company has steadily built an impressive storehouse of vibrant colors and beautiful, earthy designs. Servicing wedding and event planners from across the country, their commitment to customization and filling the wishes of individual clients means the small group of artists is always pouring energy into finding new ideas for customers. The newest thing that they have on tap for brides, grooms and guests this fall: a new line of Beer Paper and Invitations on Tap.
Made from the spent barley hulls from Upland Brewery, the beer paper has a beautiful, sturdy quality that both bride and groom will raise their glasses to! The barley in the mixture leaves a gorgeous and subtle natural flecking and also gives the paper a full-bodied, grainy texture in your hand. Twisted Limb has brewed up four rich and frothy colors to choose from, including Wheat, Pilsner, Amber and Porter, all inspired by different Upland drafts.
Twisted Limb CEO and founding artist, Sheryl Woodhouse-Keese, envisioned the "beer paper" idea when, in keeping with her company's environmental business practices, she sought out other sources of local vegetation to incorporate into her 100% recycled paper. The company then developed its recipes through a lengthy experimentation process, recycling used colored office paper in just the right combinations to create the handmade "beer colors." "What I found most challenging was creating an opaque color based upon a transparent one," studio manager Juliana Dumas said of the unique task Twisted Limb set for itself.
The result has been a fun and innovative product that as a wedding invitation both sides of the aisle will appreciate. Eco-friendly, elegant in design, and made from the natural ingredients of some of the finest beer, Twisted Limb Paperworks beer paper invitations will stand out in your guests' mailboxes.
