My mother always taught me if you are going to visit someone makes sure you bring a little gift Something like a pie, a box of candy or flowers So when back in August twenty people showed up at the home of Congressman Jason Lewis', (R) of Minnesota, and did not bring a gift he was in his own words "appalled". You know I can't blame the guy. Imagine if hundreds or even thousands of people showed up on the lawn of your Congressman or state representative and did not bring a little gift for his wife, or husband; that would be down right rude. This would be even worst if these un invited citizens were carrying signs, loudly chanting and or protesting something like global warming, budget cuts and or gun control.
You know in the last couple of years we have really lost a lot of our civility. So, the next time thousands of voters want to show up on the lawn of their elected officials, in order to communicate their opinion on something, make sure they bring that "little gift". I think even a "happy meal" would do
