FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Glen Boyls to present Buckle Up – Its Going to Get Bumpy at the Richmond Chapter of the Association of Contingency Planners on February 22, 2011

The President of the United States and members of the 112th Congress face major economic and political challenges including: unemployment, the deficit and national debt, the banking system, foreclosures, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the war in Afghanistan, unrest in the middle east, homeland security, nuclear Iran and North Korea, EU sovereign debt, and China. Fed Chairman, Ben Bernanke and several corporate leaders have acknowledged that we are in a period of "unusual uncertainty". There are no easy answers or quick solutions, so buckle up and let's explore the impacts and risks presented by the current state of the economy, international trade, national security, Dodd-Frank, Health Care Reform, and financially challenged state and local governments.

Managing through these emerging risks and challenges demands a more comprehensive approach than ever before. What will happen to jobs in both the public and private sectors? How will new acts, rules and regulations impact businesses? What effects will emerging economies have on US businesses and our national economy? What impacts will the drilling moratorium, agricultural droughts and middle east leadership changes have on commodity prices? These are some of the "unusual uncertainty" questions that our national strategies must address and the difficult decision that must be made.
