The latest cardiac kids are the Washington Commanders, except in last Saturday night’s game versus the number one seed Detroit Lions, they won by two touchdowns, 45-31.

The win brings the team to their first appearance in the NFC Championship since 1991. Head coach Dan Quinn’s team have been underdogs all year and still are in Sunday’s upcoming championship game versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

During the regular season, the Commanders and Eagles each took home a win in their two games they played each other. If the Commanders pull off another win, the number 6 seed would be completing a third road upset after knocking down the number three seed Tampa Bay Buccaneers and number one seed Lions.

Cool as a cucumber Louisiana State University alum Jayden Daniels is any NFL team’s rookie draft wish—with the quarterback, the Commanders have punted just once on 19 offensive possessions in the playoffs and Daniels has managed to score four touchdowns without any turnovers.

The Commanders have finally started to catch the eye of sportscasters too. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith was recently quoted as saying he thinks Daniels could win the Super Bowl.

America loves a good comeback story, and American loves football. With every win, more and more football fans are looking forward to a new—and unexpected—team to root for. If the Commanders pull off a win Sunday afternoon and knock off the Eagles, it’s safe to say they can be officially crowned America’s team.

Go Commanders! You can watch them on their road to Super Bowl LIX on Sunday at 3 p.m. on FOX.
