First Lady of Natural Living, sends healthy congratulations to friend Jim Burke, who won in the Best Motion Picture Drama category. Leading man, George Clooney, won Best Actor Film Drama. The Descendants is based on a book by Kau Hart Hemmings and the film producers employed many Hawaiian actors. Actor George Clooney plays a Hawaiian land owner, who has inherited not only land, but the responsibility for carrying on the family legacy. The film gains in intensity as his wife suffers a boating accident and ends up in a coma. His history, marriage, relationship with his daughter, and life as the scion of a prominent family, all come into focus when, after the accident, sadly, his wife's extra-marital affair comes to light.
The Bragg Hawaii Health Legacy:
Patricia Bragg has an extensive history in Hawaii with her father, Dr. Paul C. Bragg, a health pioneer and originator of health stores, who first met Hawaii's famous surfer and 5-time, Olympic swimming champion, Duke Kahanamoku, in Belgium at the Olympics in 1920. They struck up a friendship and The Duke invited Paul to come to Hawaii. Patricia is the God-daughter of Mrs. Duke Kahanamoku. Patricia is in Waikiki right now delivering lectures, doing radio and TV shows and conducting the famous Bragg Exercise Class started by her father over 40 years ago. The Bragg Exercise Class was founded by Dr. Paul C. Bragg, who became a Hawaii and Worldwide Health Crusader and Fitness Legend. He wanted to create a FREE Community Exercise Class in Waikiki for Hawaii residents and for visitors to the Islands. Dr. Bragg taught these classes himself. He later enlisted volunteers who could teach the Bragg Super Power Breathing Health & Fitness Exercises. Today, dedicated volunteers continue to teach these classes at no charge to the public. When she is in Hawaii, though, Patricia continues her father's health legacy by supporting the Bragg Exercise Class. This year marks the 100th birthday of Bragg Live Foods. When Paul Bragg created the company in 1912, he ignited a health revolution that has resulted in entire industries dedicated to creating healthy food products.
