FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dr. Liz Bywater, president of
Bywater Consulting Group, has some words of advice about buzzword use – and abuse. Dr. Bywater recently shared her thoughts with Tom Musbach, managing editor of Yahoo! HotJobs and expert blogger for Fast Company.com.
"When buzzwords are used properly and in context," according to Bywater, "they serve as a sort of linguistic shorthand. When overused or misused, however, they can overshadow or even distort the intended message. At worst, buzzword overuse will lessen the speaker's credibility."
Dr. Bywater spoke at length about buzzword overkill during her recent on-air interviews with KPSI, Newstalk 920, Palm Springs, and WLW, Radio 700, Cincinnati.
