(Palo Alto, Calif. - April 23, 2009 - Boomerang.com) Since the beginning of the year, survey data from several sources has identified email marketing as a tactic of choice among marketers responding to recessionary economic conditions. CEO of the award-winning email marketing firm Boomerang.com, email marketing expert David Kearney advised marketers keen on turning to email campaigns to select their email hosting tools wisely. Not all email marketing solutions are comparable to others, noted Kearney, whose own company backs its email campaign product, BlastWizard, with consultants who are experts in email marketing for both small businesses and enterprise clients.
"With so many considering email marketing for its potentially high return on investment in an economic recession, the danger is that they'll select inferior solutions in haste," said Kearney, who encouraged readers to learn more by watching video about Boomerang at the company's website. "Email marketing can seem straightforward, and in many ways it is. But before embarking on email marketing campaigns, organizations really need an email hosting tool and the attendant support that can help them to make the most of their email marketing efforts."
A veteran of MIPS Computer Systems and now CEO of Boomerang, Kearney has filled many roles in marketing and engineering for the high-tech industry. Before co-founding the award-winning email marketing firm Boomerang in 1991, he earned an MBA from Cornell University's S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management. Kearney's articles on email marketing have appeared in business periodicals such as DM News, and publications such as AllBusinesshave quoted him on his email marketing expertise.
Forty-seven percent of respondents to a recent survey by Aberdeen Group have indicated that they use email marketing to reach customers, second only to the website itself. Another survey, conducted by marketing automation firm Eloqua, has found that more than while three-fifths of B2B marketers have yet to make changes to their strategies despite the recession, email marketing is set to be the biggest growth channel for B2B marketers in 2009.
"A key corollary stems from data pointing to upward trends in email marketing," said Kearney. "And that corollary is this: An organization that plans to employ email marketing tactics needs to know about the best of these tactics. There is no room for trial and error. Fortunately, companies can begin to achieve their email marketing objectives in short order when they employ the assistance of experts who know how to do email campaigns right, right from the start."
In 2008, users of salesforce.com gave BlastWizard, Boomerang's customizable email hosting tool for small business, the most four-star and five-star ratings of any email hosting tool, qualifying Boomerang's product to receive that CRM provider's award of "Best Mass Email Tool." BlastWizard is available for a free trial. Several companies offer small business email campaign tools. Among them, however, Boomerang is alone in approaching email marketing for small business in a customized, tailored way to create individualized email campaigns for clients. Furthermore, Boomerang's consultants are able to draw on a legacy of experience that the company has with enterprise clients, whose needs for email marketing campaigns have imbued Boomerang with the kind of institutional knowledge that yields best practices.
