Job-seekers, educators and others in need of a professional curriculum vitae, or CV, can choose from dozens of free printable CV templates at the new Web site, CVTemplates.net.

The site includes academic CV templates, business CV templates and skills-based CV templates as well as Europass CVtemplates that comply with the framework and standards set forth by the European Union for presenting expertise to potential employers.

There are also several formats to choose from, such as two-column CV templates, left-aligned CV templates, and centered CV templates. Each template is available in letter size as well as A4 size (the standard in Europe and many other locales outside North America). All are free to instantly download and print.

The site was created by Kevin Savetz, who in 2008 launched the web site InstantResumeTemplates.com as part of the FreePrintable.net family of more than 50 sites offering free and low-cost printables for home and business.

"I have been very pleased with the response to my resume templates, but I heard from so many people who specifically needed to produce a formatted curriculum vitae that I decided CVs were worthy of a new, standalone site," Savetz said.

All of the CV templates download instantly in .DOC form, so they can be edited and customized in Microsoft Word. The designs are pre-formatted with placeholder text, so all the user has to do is "overtype" with his or her own contact information, education, work experience, skills and other details.

There are both basic and concise CV templates as well as designs specifically for careers in nursing, marketing, consulting, management and technical fields.
