C. Brink Cawley, a leading mortgage loan originator in Michigan, is returning to his hometown of Grosse Pointe to open and manage a branch office of Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group
http://www.GoldStarFinancial.com Gold Star is one of the fastest growing companies in the United States and is listed on the Inc. 500. The company is a full-service mortgage business that closes more than $1.5 billion in loans per year.
Cawley, who has more than 18 years experience as a mortgage professional saw a great need for a mortgage company on the eastside able to offer the higher level of customer service the residents deserve and expect.
An Executive Vice President of Gold Star Mortgage, Cawley is a 1989 graduate of Grosse Pointe South High School, captain of both the varsity hockey and soccer teams and earned his business degree from Wayne State University. When he's not writing mortgages he's an avid boater on Lake St. Clair and stays fit by playing hockey.
"My family roots in the Detroit area go back to the late 1870's when my Great Grandfather started Posselius Brothers Furniture in Detroit," says Cawley. "Another Great Grandfather Frederick Morrell Zeder was in charge of engineering at Chrysler until 1951. My Grandfather John H. Posselius owned Detroit Triumph and Lotus, a car dealer and distributor located in Detroit on Woodward in the fifties" says Cawley.
"I have finance running in my blood" says Cawley "My father Charles Cawley worked as a commercial lender for over 35 years, recently retiring from the First Bank of Beverly Hills in California. My Uncle Max Cawley retired as head investment banker with National Bank of Detroit, both of whom influenced my banking career. The most important thing they both shared with me is that it's about the client, not the deal."
"We have a highly experienced staff at the Grosse Pointe Mortgage branch who can assist all Michigan residents, especially first time home buyers," says Cawley. "We offer convenience in addition to a high level of customer service, to all Grosse Pointe and surrounding area residents with their home financing needs. Our objective is to meet both short term and long term financial plans and goals for all our clients," adds Cawley.
Cawley shares a lot with Dan Milstein, CEO of Gold Star Mortgage and was the first hire made by Milstein when he founded Gold Star Mortgage in Ann Arbor in January of 2000.
As a young man Milstein helped Detroit Red Wing future hall of famer Pavel Datsyuk obtain a home mortgage. Likewise, Cawley assisted Red Wing Darren Helm with his first home mortgage when he started playing with the Wings. "We continue to work closely with many individuals from the Detroit Red Wings organization. From high profile clients to first time home buyers, mortgages are woven to meet both short term and long term financial plans and goals," says Cawley.
Besides opening the Grosse Pointe office, Gold Star has opened several other offices in Michigan and the Midwest in recent years. Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group recently announced plans to double its headquarters staff and move into larger facilities in Ann Arbor, Michigan
The new Grosse Pointe office is located at 726 Notre Dame just north of Cadieux and west of Kercheval. For more information call 734-973-7400 or visit
