Two news briefings previewing top studies offered via webcast



The Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Cancer Symposium, sponsored by AHNS, ASCO, ASTRO and SNM, will host two news briefings on top head and neck cancer research from its meeting January 26-28, 2012, in Phoenix.

What: Two audio news briefing from the Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Cancer Symposium. (Audio recordings and slides are available after the news briefings on ASTRO's website.)

When: Thursday, January 26, 2012, at 7:00 a.m. Mountain time (9:00 a.m. Eastern time)

Study findings previewed:

• Oral HPV infection, HPV-related cancers more common in men

• Erlotinib dose-adjusted for smoking status effective as first treatment for head and neck cancer

• Standard treatments for head and neck cancer less effective in HIV-positive patients
