The National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) is proud to present the 2011 NAAAHR National Conference, October 20 – 23, 2011, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, Washington, DC.

The 13th annual conference theme is "From Recession to Recovery: HR, the Strategic Competitive Advantage," with a focus on the strategic role that HR professionals and business leaders have in sccessfully navigating their organizations through challenging economic times.

The conference has a notable lineup of speakers from pvivate industry and government, including Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor and assistant to the President; George Fraser, president and founder of Frasernet, and Wlley Jolley, best-selling author and international speaker.The featured entertainer for the conference is grammy-nominated recording artist Eric Benet. Benet will perform Friday, October 22.

Also included among the featured speakers is Patrina Clark, president and founder, Pivotal Practices Consulting LLC. Clark, a 25-year career public servant who recently left public service to launch her consulting practice, will be a part of two panels during the conference:  one discussing the effectiveness of organizational diverity and inclusion efforts and another discussing efforts to establish international standards for human resources activities.

Kevin Carrington, president of the NAAAHR Washington DC chapter, describes this year's conference as the best ever.
