Hilco Industrial, LLC,
http://www.hilcoind.com, will conduct two internationally webcast auctions offering machinery and equipment from Advanced Accessory Systems' two Michigan-based manufacturing facilities on May 20 and 21, 2009.
Advanced Accessory Systems (AAS) manufactured rack systems for many of the world's automakers such as GM, Ford and Chrysler. Their line of rack systems included fixed and detachable racks designed for carrying items such as bikes, canoes, luggage and skis. AAS also produced roof rack lighting systems, pickup bed cargo management systems, running boards and air dams.
Their two manufacturing facilities performed very different production tasks and will therefore be offered in separate auctions.
The Shelby Township facility features plastic injection molding equipment, including over 30 machines from manufacturers Cincinnati, Mitsubishi, Van Dorn, Engel and Demag, manufactured as recently as 2003 and boasting capacities of up to 2,200-tons. The Tuesday, May 20th sale will also include plastic auxiliary support, toolroom and mobile equipment. The facility is located at 50701 Birch Rd. in Shelby Township, MI 48315.
Equipment from the Port Huron facility will be auctioned the following day, Wednesday, May 21st, at 2655 16th Street, Port Huron, MI 48060. Highlights of this offering include 19 Tishken and Yoder roll forming lines, consisting of cut-offs, Servo feeders, decoilers and presses. Inspection and toolroom equipment, stamping presses, robotic cells, cut-off saws, mobile and plant support equipment will also be sold.
Both sales offer webcast bidding, enabling a bidder to participate remotely using the phone and internet. Details are available at www.hilcoind.com. Buyers can of course also bid in person at each facility on the day of the sale.
