"I Survived"


"I Survived" is the story about an extraordinary individual, Jere Van Dyk, who was captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2008 and endured some of the harshest treatment imaginable.  The program will appear on the Biography Channel at 10:00 PM on Sunday, December 2, 2012 and details Jere's captivity and survival.

Mr. Van Dky's vast experience encompasses many venues.  He has been employed as an investigator for Fidelifacts/Metropolitan NY, as a correspondent for the New York Times, and has provided reports to CBS News, CNN, NPR and other broadcast organizations while traveling in Afghanistan and other countries in the region.  Jere has also authored many articles and a book titled "Captive" published in 2010 which tells the story of his ordeal as a prisoner of the Taliban.  Sunday's program "I Survived" will bring to the screen a tale of incredible endurance and stamina by a highly skilled and talented individual.
