This book changed my life. I seldom write reviews. I am doing so now with the hope of helping someone else in a similar situation. Also, this is my way of saying thank you to Dr. Schuler. I am a 68 year old woman in reasonably good health. A few years ago I was diagnosed with arthritis in my right knee. The orthopedic surgeon advised pain killers and a future knee replacement. As time wore on I developed a limp. I found it difficult to walk in my own home and used shopping carts for support while shopping. I purchased a cane and walker to prepare myself for when things got even worse. Needless to say, I was becoming very depressed. The idea that there was any hope never entered my mind until by chance I found Dr. Schuler's book. Could a foot problem be causing my knee arthritis? Whew, did I have a lot to learn! Dr. Schuler explains everything in a clear organized manner. It was easy for me to grasp just what he was saying. Plus, he has a great sense of humor! He really opened my eyes. I followed the doctor's instructions and made the simple toe pad described in his book. Within a few days I could tell that this was my answer. Walking with the toe pad in place felt right; My gait started to improve. It made perfect sense. It has been a few months now and my limp is gone. I can go up and down stairs without turning to the side. I have taken charge of my arthritis by reading other books about arthritis. I feel like a different person! Without my limp I exercise now. I've joined a health club. This is all because of Dr. Schuler and his wonderful book. I am so grateful.
