Innovation Strategist Ascends the Ranks to Vice Chair of Programs of International Mentoring Organization
Howard Rasheed, PhD Elected to Vice Chair of Programs of 100 Black Men of America, Inc.
Proven leadership is essential in our turbulent economic and social climate. For-profit and not-for-profit organizations alike are seeking skilled, capable individuals to grow and sustain their missions and advance them into a new era of prosperity. International mentoring organization 100 Black Men of America, Inc. has been in pursuit of this goal and has successfully elected Dr. Howard Rasheed as Vice Chair of Programs in September 2010.
The mission of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. is to improve the quality of life within our communities and enhance educational and economic opportunities for all African Americans. With 116 chapters worldwide, Dr. Rasheed's role on the executive committee as Vice Chair of Programs is to oversee the execution of a plan that will reach more than 1 million African American youth between the ages of 8-18 by 2015. Under Rasheed's leadership, the 100 plans to pursue this ambitious goal by launching a virtual E-mentoring platform that focuses on test prep, a social media career development platform, and a social innovation virtual think tank. Dr. Rasheed has served as the former chairman of the Leadership Development Institute and received the first Leonard Knight Leadership award in 2009.

Dr. Rasheed is the CEO and Founder of Institute for Innovation and an Associate Professor of Strategic Management at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
