The National Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation (NTEF), an environmental advocacy organization, addressing the interrelationship of chemicals upon health, primarily the brain and central nervous system.
Initially the NTEF was seeking Gulf War veterans to participate in a national survey regarding their chemical exposures while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.
The NTEF has now expanded the request to include any person who served, no matter what country they served from.
We are concerned with veterans who have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, cognitive problems, and or chemical sensitivity. Or any neurological or reproductive problems that were not present prior to serving their deployment in Iraq or Afghanistan.
There will be no medications or evaluations given. No personal interviews, the strictest of confidentiality will be maintained regarding any information provided.
Participants will be provided a series of questions regarding pre and post deployment health, what you were exposed to and current symptoms. How these symptoms have impacted you since returning to civilian life.
The enrollment period will close on November 30, 2013. It is open to all members of the military both women and men.
Veterans desirous to participate in the survey, please submit a request to
