During the annual spring meeting of FIABCI-USA (International Federation of Real Estate) Eugenia Foxworth, owner/broker Foxworth Realty, New York City, was one of six members installed on the Board of Directors in Alexander, Va. The installation was held at a reception at the Monaco Hotel, which is located on the site where the Civil War between the states was started.

Ms. Foxworth was the first African-American to be elected as the president of the NYC Local Council of FIABCI-USA (2005-2006).

The only non-governmental organization to hold this important position, FIABCI enjoys Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. Through FIABCI?s permanent representatives to that body in New York and around the world, FIABCI- takes great pride in our efforts to help the United Nations address serious housing and environmental issues worldwide.
