Jewish author and speaker Nina Amir and Christmas author and podcast host Bernadette Dimitrov, otherwise known as ?Mrs. Claus? of ?Conversations with Mrs. Claus,? enlighten listeners about the universal nature of all types of holidays all year long. Amir and Dimitrov take time each month to explore how to make any holiday spiritual and meaningful to any listener, no matter their religious background or spiritual beliefs, and to offer uplifting information during the current world recession, a time when people everywhere need a boost.
Dimitrov says, ?Christmas is about light, luminosity, and illuminating our consciousness to create joy, happiness and peace. This is our gift to ourselves, our families, our communities, and, ultimately, the world.? However, she says, ?Our goal is to provide this same Christmas spirit all year long. In particular, the world needs a dose of this spirit now.?
Amir appears on ?Conversations with Mrs. Claus? once a month to talk about a variety of holidays and how to turn empty observances into what she calls ?meaning-full? and ?spirit-full? ones instead. Plus, she discusses how to live life fully, find practical spiritual practices in every-day life and relationships and manifest spiritual and physical desires through giving. ?At a time when people feel so much lack, learning to appreciate what they have and to see how giving even a little can actually help them both physically and spiritually is important,? Amir says. ?Together we want to help our listeners stop focusing on what they don?t have or on their fears of what they may not have tomorrow and feel more inspired and able to create positive change in their lives instead.?
Both women agree, it matters little if you celebrate a Christian or a Jewish holiday or observe one religion or another, one fact remains true: Every holiday ? indeed, every day ? represents an opportunity for people of all faiths to come together and focus on consciously creating the world in which they want to live.
With Christians soon to celebrate the miracles of Easter and Jews about to celebrate the miracles of Passover, both women agree, now is a perfect time to focus on the miracles in our lives. ?Especially at this time in history, when people feel discouraged, depressed and fearful, it?s important to see the miracles in their lives and to find meaning and inspiration in the holidays of their tradition,? says Amir.
?Conversations with Mrs. Claus,? a podcast exploring transformational tips and tools for teachers, parents and kids, is a weekly show downloaded by 110,000 listeners each month in more than 90 countries.
Each week on her podcast show, Dimitrov, the author of The Ho Ho Ho Factor! and Australia?s Bluey The Blue Kangaroo, Santa?s New Kangaroo Reindeer Recruit, visits experts, North Pole characters, best-selling authors, celebrities, film producers, coaches, and other fascinating guests who share tips, tools and resources to help everyone live a happier, healthier, and more joyous, fulfilled, and enriched life. Guests keep listeners inspired and entertained as they join show host Mrs. Claus.
?Conversations with Mrs. Claus? podcast provides a weekly stream of inspiration, insights and wisdom shared by fascinating guests world-wide. Some of Mrs. Claus? guest have included a host of best-selling authors, such as Dr. Gay Hendricks, Ph.D., Matthew Kelly, Dale Powell, and Timothy Freke, as well as Hollywood medium Dr. Lilian Eden, Ph.D, master healer and medical intuitive Dr. Meg Blackburn Losey, Ph.D., International Cancer Foundation founder Dr. Ben Johnson (the only Medical Doctor featured in the international hit movie The Secret), and Chancellor of the International University of Santa Claus Timothy Connaghan.
Amir, a journalist and the author of The Kabbalah of Conscious Creation and From Empty Practice to Meaning-full and Spirit-full Prayers and Rituals?in Seven Simple Steps!, first appeared as a guest on ?Conversations with Ms. Claus? in January 2008 to discuss how to create change rather than simply make New Year?s resolutions. Dimitrov then asked her to join the podcast once a month to discuss how to make holidays meaningful and spiritual no matter what your beliefs, as well as a variety of other spiritually-related topics. Amir writes and speaks about practical spirituality, human potential and personal growth from a Jewish, as well as a secular, perspective, although her teachings tend to cross religious and spiritual lines. Her emphasis lies in helping all people learn to live their lives more fully, which is no different from Dimitrov?s goal with ?Conversations with Mrs. Claus.?
For this reason, the two women both feel they are well aligned in terms of their goals and purposes and, therefore, make a good team. Thus, each month they bring together their diverse backgrounds to bridge the Judeo-Christian religious and spiritual worlds and to offer listeners inspirational tools and tips.
