John Boehner needs to get over himself. If you walked out of a meeting with the President of your company AND refused to return the calls of the President, you would be fired. Period. No special circumstances, no explanations or rationalizations. You would be fired.
There is disagreement and there is disrespect. Walking out is disrespect. Refusing to return phone calls is disrespect. And even more than disrespect, it would be grounds for termination all over America.
Standing up for oneself is great. It is great and in many ways it is the American way. But not at the expense of basic rules of corporate etiquette. And basic common courtesy.
Where does this hubris come from? On what planet is it OK
to be rude and keep your job? You have the right to be rude.
Your employer has the right to terminate.
The American people and Boehner's district in particular need to tell the Speaker of the House that they will do what
any company would do, fire him for insubordination.
