Andrea Behrens teams up with Las Vegas Bootcamp to raise money following a family's tragedy
When Andrea Behrens heard about a family stricken by tragedy in Houston, Texas, she wanted to do something to help. So October 27, she?s joining forces with trainers Reinier and Kerry Geyser, of Las Vegas Bootcamp, (
http://www.lasvegasbootcamp.net ) , who have volunteered to teach a special high-energy, fun-filled workout with all proceeds of the class going directly to the Berry children.
While returning from a family vacation this summer, the Berry family was the victim of a tragic car accident. Parents Josh and Robin were killed, and their children, Peter, 9, and Aaron, 8, suffered serious injuries. Their third child, Willa, 6, faced less serious injuries. In addition to losing their parents, the children are faced with mounting medical expenses. To learn more about the Berry family, read the following pieces:

They all have a tough road ahead of them, and I?m thrilled to be able to help, even in a small way,? said Behrens. ?I?m relieved to see that they are not alone. There has been an outpouring of support for this family, in their community and beyond. Trainers Reinier and Kerry Geyser have been so generous to donate their time and energy. I hope that others will join me for this benefit workout. It will not only raise awareness for the Berry family, but it?s something good you are also doing for yourself.?
The fitness class will be held from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Willows Park in Summerlin, 2775 Desert Marigold Lane. ( Full details:

The minimum donation is $10 per person. The workout is open to people of all fitness levels. It will involve sequences of hill drills and speed intervals on the stairs and track, and is a strength and cardio workout designed to benefit your stamina and speed. Depending on an individual?s intensity level, the workout burns 600 to 1,000 calories in an hour.
Behrens is also calling to action the greater Las Vegas community, requesting for individuals and businesses that are unable to participate in the workout stop by to make a donation. Cash or checks payable to Joshua and Robin Berry Children's Trust will be accepted.
Those interested in participating should rsvp to Andrea at (702) 338-9460 by October 25, 2011.
