Want to become a WATER/SWIFTWATER RESCUE INSTRUCTOR for your department?  Register today to participate in Lifesaving Resources' 17th annual INTERNATIONAL WATER RESCUE INSTRUCTOR ACADEMY, May 16 - 19, in Saco, Maine (USA).  This intensive 4-day luxury boot-camp style training Academy is designed to provide First Responders with the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively respond to incidents in, on and around the water, and to train First Responders as Instructors who, upon successful completion of the Academy, are then authorized to conduct this training for other members in his/her department.  Curriculums meet/exceed NFPA 1670 & NFPA 1006 Standards for Technical Rescue.  Tuition includes all books and materials, meals and lodging over the 4-days.  Besides classroom instruction, instructor candidates will participate in practical sessions conducted in the Westbrook Community Swimming Pool, the Presumpscot and Saco Rivers, and in the ocean in Kennebunkport.  Instructor candidates are expected from throughout the United States and Canada.  The Academy is conducted by Gerry Dworkin along with other faculty from throughout the U.S.  For information/registration, please access the Lifesaving Resources' website at www.lifesaving.com, or call 207/967-8614.
