Denver, CO October 3—Did you know that more than 500,000 children in the US have vision challenges, and out of every 1,000 ... two or three are born with a detectable hearing loss in one or both ears? Imagination Videobooks, a nonprofit whose mission is to create accessible children's books for all children including the blind and deaf is taking on its next big project, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and they need your generous support.
Imagination Videobooks will be using the funds raised for this project to recreate the classic children's story that will be turned into an audiobook with rich audio descriptions of the pictures and a video with American Sign Language for all children to enjoy.
Imagination Videobooks will also be bringing together an all blind and low-vision cast; including Aria Mia Loberti, who stars in Netflix's upcoming film, All the Light we Cannot See, and Molly Burke, a YouTube personality, author and motivational speaker; to make this incredible book come to life.
Imagination Videobooks runs entirely on generous donations, and is currently asking the public to make gifts to its Go Fund Me Campaign to support the project. Donations can be made at bit.ly/OZ_Fundraiser. There are lots of fun rewards for gifts, including a self-portrait by Star Trek New Worlds actor Bruce Horak, who will be voicing Scarecrow.
