An Exemplar of Continuous Improvement

SACS named Tom Director of Operations in 2016. In 2025, he was certified as safety trainer. He currently teaches a number of SACS’ certification classes to both clients and team members, including CPR, CIT, Stop the Bleed, CERT, deescalation techniques, and more. He also works with his trainees in the field to provide hands-on learning and guidance. He’s also certified as an instructor by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA). This certification qualifies him to teach specialized training classes for both new and experienced law enforcement officers and security personnel.

Tom’s enthusiasm for the job cannot be understated. “I can’t wait to wake up every day and go to work!” he asserts. “Every day there is always something new waiting for me, and it’s never boring.” What does Tom think makes SACS Consulting unique in this challenging field? “You know, Tim (SACS President and CEO Tim Dimoff) asks us all that question every month! I believe we’re unique because the people we hire are of a high caliber. And the training we give them is exceptional. Our clients say our people are cream of the crop compared to others they’ve hired in the past.”

Tom’s own work ethic certainly validates that ethos. In addition to his exemplary work with trainees, he continues to consult for SACS with his former employer, Summa Health. He helps Summa write security policies and enhance their in-house force’s competencies and certifications as required by law. And although not officially in a sales role, he has brought many clients to SACS because of the solid relationships he builds in the community. Thanks to SACS’ nomination, the National Sales & Marketing Executives (NSME) Akron/Canton chapter recognized Tom with an Accent on Excellence Award in 2023. The award celebrates professionals who demonstrate excellence, innovation, and leadership in their fields.
