MicroTech CEO Tony Jimenez Named Entrepreneur of the Year

Diversity Organization Honors Award Winning President of Rapidly Growing Technology Systems Integrator

MicroTech President & CEO Tony Jimenez was named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MAHCC), at the 2010 Poinsettia Festival. The event was held at Gallaudet University, in Washington, DC. Presented to Tony Jimenez by MAHCC President Jorge Ribas, the award recognizes the business leadership of Jimenez who has made a difference in the chamber's success and in the community.

The Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MAHCC.org) is a regional business organization advocating for economic, workforce and community development. The chamber provides a variety of networking and educational opportunities and services to help members start new businesses or expand existing ones and enter new markets. The December 4, 2010 Poinsettia Festival celebrated the chamber's steady success and growing influence in the Nation's Capital and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

One of America's small business success stories, MicroTech (www.MicroTech.net) provides Technology Services, Systems Integration, Product Solutions, and Unified Communications & Collaboration to federal, state, and local government agencies. Through technology innovation, MicroTech makes a difference in the lives of service members, veterans, the injured, the elderly, and other citizens that the government serves. A Prime Contractor on more-than-100 Federal projects and 20-plus contract vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 2500 vendors and over a million technology products across the government.

"I'm humbled by the recognition from the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber and thank them for this special honor," said Jimenez. "Organizations like the chamber offer valuable support and guidance and new opportunities to diversity entrepreneurs. This award and much of our success originates in the diverse team of professionals at MicroTech and their extraordinary daily efforts to serve our customers. They make me a better business leader."

Jimenez recently received the prestigious 2010 Minority Business Enterprise® (MBE) "Business Legend Award" and inclusion into the Minority Business Enterprise Hall of Fame paying tribute to outstanding minority business owners in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. Earlier this year, he was selected an "Entrepreneur of the Year" finalist in the Washington area Ernst & Young competition. In 2009, he was again recognized as "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
