Hard Charging Military Veteran, Highly Successful Entrepreneur Makes it a Priority to Give Back to Community

MicroTech President & CEO Tony Jimenez has been selected as a "Circle of Excellence" winner by SmartCEO Magazine, as the No. 1 leader of a for-profit organization in the Washington area who supports and directly participates in philanthropic acts. According to the publication, "[Jimenez is] succeeding in taking an aspect of [his] business to a level that most companies rarely achieve." He will be honored at the Circle of Excellence Awards Gala on May 18, 2011, at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.

SmartCEO is a regional "growing company" publication; a resource to help educate and inspire decision-makers. Read by more than 50,000 business owners in the Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington metro markets, each issue of SmartCEO includes features, interviews, case studies, and columns focused on helping corporate leaders face the daily challenge of running a business.

Recently called the "hottest Hispanic business in the nation," MicroTech (www.MicroTech.net) offers Technology Services, Systems Integration, Product Solutions, Unified Communications & Collaboration, and Innovation & Integration primarily in the public sector. Through technology innovation, MicroTech makes a difference in the lives of service members, veterans, the injured, the elderly, and other citizens that the government serves. A Prime Contractor on more-than-100 Federal projects and 20-plus contract vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 2500 vendors and over a million technology products across the government.

"I'm humbled to be recognized by SmartCEO Magazine for giving back to the community," said Jimenez. "Our philanthropic nature at MicroTech is an important organizational strength; our employees make an extraordinary effort to contribute to society. My success as CEO of MicroTech has never been just about financial gain. It's always been a part of my philosophy to make a difference and provide a helping hand to those that need it."

MicroTech has been previously acknowledged as a leading philanthropic business. The Washington Business Journal in 2010 placed the organization at the top of privately-held companies that give back to the community.

Jimenez has received other recent business accolades including being named a Business Legend by Minority Business Enterprise; as a "Minority Business Leader of the Year" by the Washington Business Journal, and as the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce "Entrepreneur of the Year."
