Position: Hot Oil Field Service Technician
Experience: 2+ years
Location: North Dakota or Montana
JOB DESCRIPTION
Safely operate a Hot Oil truck’s heated water or oil used to provide a variety of functions that include heating of flow lines, production tanks, production strings to the well bore, and may be used as a steam cleaner. The technician may work in shop and onshore environments in accordance with Canary and OEM procedures.
DUTIES
Prepare accurate field service tickets / job reports and other administrative forms as required
Responsible for assigned vehicle maintenance and inspection
Maintain knowledge of all applicable local, state, & federal DOT rules and regulations
Conduct job safety analysis
May assist in developing job action planning with customer on location
Install and/or remove equipment in accordance with applicable technical procedures
Load Hot Oil unit with appropriate fluid
Lift pipe on rack of unit, make up and lay the pipe from the unit to the vessel tank line or wellhead
Monitor of amount of fluid required for the job and operating open flame or heat conversion equipment to heat the fluid in a safe manner
May be required to train
Must be receptive to and able to comprehend training received on new related processes
Must be available on 24 hr call basis to respond to customer needs
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years Wellhead Services equipment repair and maintenance experience
Good operational and maintenance knowledge of Hot Oil units
Good written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver’s license and good driving record with proper endorsements
Mechanical aptitude
High school diploma or GED preferred
The physical ability to complete job duties & immediately respond to emergency situations
Pass required drug screening, and criminal history requirements
