PrintableWorldMap.net has two brand-new categories and 45 new printable maps now available. The new batch focuses mainly on constellations and U.S. regions.
"I like the idea of putting constellations up on this site for dedicated stargazers," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "After all, they're just maps of the stars."
While the new star maps don't cover all the constellations, they do feature the main ones. These templates include the major stars that make up Ursa Major, Orion, Pegasus, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Perseus. The larger/brighter stars have their names listed, and lines are provided to show the shape of the constellation.
While the new U.S. region maps show the states according to geographical groupings, coastlines, and cultures. Various divisions are represented, including South, Southwest, Midwest, Atlantic, Rocky Mountains, East and Pacific States.
In addition to the new categories, there are a number of additional maps, including a map of the U.S. National Parks and zip codes, global bodies of water, latitude and longitude lines, and historical boundaries for Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. There's even a cute, colored map of the United States for crafty teachers and parents.
There are now more than 200 printable maps at PrintableWorldMap.net. Users can choose from colorful illustrations or blank line art. Each one is free to print as a PDF, or the map collection can be purchased for only $9.
